At OGAC we create a community of resources ranging from photographers to website developers, all of which I've worked with or have been recommended through other professional actors or agencies.

But the most important and useful resource we have is ourselves and the information we each find through various film communities.

That is why when you register for classes at OGAC you're invited to join our private GroupMe chat. The chat contains everything from real time class information to casting information on projects that past and present students find or that I've been sent through colleagues in the community.

I always encourage my students to take legitimate on - set work EVEN extra work. I spent 2 years prior to getting an agent doing extra work and even after I was professionally signed. I paid my dues on large and small film sets lugging tons of personal wardrobe from place to place, waiting to be checked in and then dressing in various impromptu places like gas station or restaurant restrooms, even my car, applying my own makeup and finally sitting attentively hoping an AD would choose me for the next scene. In those moments I learned a great deal about what the job required and most importantly what it was to be a professional actor. I learned about the long hours for little screen time and even less or no pay, and how to best conduct myself on set so that I had a chance, as an extra, to actually get camera time and sometimes a feature.

I also learned why I wanted to work hard to start earning a chance to actually flex my chops and put in some real time as a character.

All sets are valuable in one way or another. Whether to teach you what you NEVER want to experience again and thereby your WORTH, or to network and to get that incredibly valuable FOOTAGE that helps create the most important marketing tool for an actor, their demo.

As such, I try to expose my actors to as many opportunities that I vet, and encourage them to share casting info with each other which they do.

Becoming a student at OGAC DOESN'T JUST TRAIN YOU TO BE BETTER IT HELPS YOU TO JUMPSTART YOUR CAREER!
