Crystal Martinez began her acting career 19 years ago in Houston entirely by accident. She grew up watching Shirley Temple reruns in Marble Falls Texas and remembers being mesmerized by the fact that there was a little girl with curly hair like hers on tv that could act and sing. She remembers thinking that she had curls and loved to sing, dance and act, so there was no reason why she couldn't do it too.
As she grew older she thrived in any assignment that involved some sort of perfomance whether book report, speech or any form of drama performance. Her 8th grade year of school found her in Austin for 1 year where she was able to perform in a theatrefounded OGAC 7 years ago and has focused on training actors of all levels in Film/TV auditioning techniques that have led her students to secure professional representation with talent agencies and book roles on Network TV series such as:
Crystal has been a professional actress for 16 years and recently completed a starring role in the pilot "The Neapolitan" shot in Naples, Florida, and has appeared on all major networks and several films such as ABC's "American Crime", CBS's "Under the Dome" 6 episodes in Season 1, NBC's "Revolution", AMC's "Preacher" and "In Plain Sight", as well as Robert Rodriguez's "Machete Kills" and "Unlimited" to name a few.
